Executive Billiards

Brent Smith says...
One of only 2 true pool halls left in Indianapolis. 10 9ft tables, 1 10 foot pool table (a rare find), 1 8ft table, and 1 10 foot snooker table. All of the tables play well. The regulars are friendly, and there is no need to worry about getting hustled or anything else bad. Prices are insanely cheap 2.40 per hour for the first 2 hours and 1.80 per hour after that. They are officially open until midnight, but the houseman will keep the place open late if there are players. Great place to practice or play with friends. Esthetics are a little rough, but it's good for that old school pool hall feel. Try it out.

First Contact

That's Brent's take.  I started going to Executive in 1981.  Keith and I went in to check it out.  We played a bit that first night, but didn't really know what was up.  It was several trips later when I went in by myself and Ronnie and/or Henry, I don't remember who got me first, took several dollars from me.  I kept going back, kept liking it, and after three months or so-I was hooked.  It wasn't long after that, that I met Bumper, (Randy) and Buddy.  Randy was a house man at the time and had a giant Ford truck that he was mudding several nights a week.  Ronnie finally stopped taking my money and played with me for free, but by that time, DooFunny was giving me 8-4 playing bank.
